VIW-D Laser Welding Machine

VIW-D is a laser welding machine series with a double-swing welding head. The source describes dual-axis movement in that head, together with a wheeled machine structure, laser generator and industrial water chiller. The three published models are VIW1500D, VIW2000D and VIW3000D, rated at 1500W, 2000W and 3000W respectively.

All three list a 1080nm wavelength and water cooling. The head arrangement is the distinctive feature to discuss alongside the power choice. Show the joint geometry and available access when considering it; dual-axis head movement is not a statement of robot axes, travel distance or a guaranteed result on a complex joint.

VIW1500D and VIW2000D specifications

VIW1500D and VIW2000D provide the first two power choices, with VIW3000D extending the listed range to 3000W. Raycus, JPT, IPG and Max appear as source options. The equipment schedule should identify both the model and the proposed generator so that the selected power is connected to an actual configuration.

The controls support parameter settings and real-time monitoring, with power, speed and focus adjustment described. Review those functions around the proposed joint and welding sequence. The control description does not specify automatic focusing or an automatically generated welding process; settings and the offered head need to be considered together.

The machine has wheels for movement, an industrial water chiller and a protective casing for internal components. An emergency stop button and an interlock are also described. The interlock stops operation when a protective door opens or specified safety conditions are violated. These are equipment features, separate from the protective arrangement required for the complete welding workstation.

VIW-D handheld laser welding machine applications

For a joint review, supply the material, thickness, joint shape and weld path on a drawing. Show surrounding features that affect access to the seam. The double-swing head can then be discussed in relation to that geometry, rather than relying on a broad statement that difficult angles will be accessible.

Identify how the workpiece will be supported and whether it can be repositioned during the job. Include the required finished result and any inspection requirements. No material-thickness or welding-gap capacity is assigned here, so those details should remain part of a task-specific discussion instead of being inferred from the power model.

VIW-D configuration and operation

Fiber length is listed as standard 10m, with maximum support of 20m. Keep the standard length and the longer supported option distinct when planning the layout. Show the machine position and route to the working area, then confirm the actual fiber length and routing arrangement for the offered equipment.

The published interface languages are English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Russian. Specify the language needed by the operating team. Working humidity is stated as below 70% with no condensation, which belongs in the site review alongside the equipment's actual installation and cooling requirements.

A complete VIW-D enquiry combines the selected model, preferred source, requested fiber length and control language with the joint drawings. Add the proposed machine and workpiece positions. This gives the head, laser and layout discussion a shared reference without treating a power rating or double-swing designation as a finished-weld specification.

Product questions

How do VIW1500D and VIW2000D differ?

Their listed laser powers are 1500W and 2000W respectively. VIW3000D adds a 3000W choice. All share the published 1080nm wavelength and water-cooling method.

What does double swing describe?

The source describes dual-axis movement of the welding head. It does not specify robot axes, motion travel or a guaranteed ability to weld every complex joint.

Which laser sources are listed?

Raycus, JPT, IPG and Max are named source options. Confirm the generator selected for the proposed model rather than treating the whole list as a single supplied configuration.

Is 20m the standard fiber length?

The standard field is 10m; 20m is listed as the maximum supported length. Confirm the actual supplied length and the proposed route to the work area.

What information helps assess the welding head?

Provide the joint drawing, material, thickness, seam path, surrounding geometry and workpiece support arrangement. State the required finished result so the configuration discussion addresses the actual task.
